Eco Report
Thankfully the Summer is only around the corner so we will soon
be able to turn off the radiators and electric heators. But there is still
more we can do to reduce our energy bills.
Did you Know? If you switch off all your electrical appliances
like tv's, computers, dvd players etc when not in use instead of leaving them on standby
will substantially reduce you energy bill. It is estimated that standby power adds around 12% on
to your energy bill each month.
Water Conservation With our water supplies under constant
pressure of increased demand we can help alleviate that pressure by making sure we turn off taps when brushing our teeth. Also filling a jug of water
and leaving it in the fridge instead of running the tap for a while each time we want a glass of water. Every minute we reduce our running tap
water we save on average of 3 gallons of water.
Recycling Be sure to find you local recycling
depot. A list of depots are on our eco page.

We
are still working on the template for the wiki. It is taking considerably longer
than first anticipated but we would hope to have a small number of towns up and
running by the Summer. And it the templates proves succussful then it will be quickly
replicated for all towns throughout the country.
What is the Neighbours.ie WIKI? If you would like to know what the Neighbours.ie Wiki is have a look at our first newsletter

Neighbours.ie Home Services Directory
The Home Services Directory
is also taking quite some time to complete. We want to have at least a couple of entries into each
of the categories listed. Because we only want the very best quality entries it is a slow proccess but we will
get there. If you feel very strongly about a company or individual that has served you with top grade results in the past then please
let us know.
