Given the growth in population and residential estates in Balbriggan and surrounding areas over recent years Fingal LEADER Partnership and Fingal County Council Community Department will be facilitating a short training programme over an 8 week period to encourage and support residents to become more active in their area. The programme will focus on getting to know your community and the principles of community development put into practice. This is an ideal opportunity for all those who may like to contribute to local development but are unclear what is currently available or how to get involved. In addition it is an opportunity to meet new people and make friends. The programme will also be open to groups currently in existence who may feel they would benefit from more structured guidance and support.
The programme will run on Tuesday morning’s 10am 12.30pm in Balbriggan from October 19th to November 30th. If you would like to take part expression of interest forms are available from Fingal LEADER Partnership on 8020484 or can be downloaded on www.fingalleaderpartnership.ie . Closing dates for the Expression of Interest forms is the 06th October. A certificate of attendance will be given to each participant and links will be established with Fingal Volunteer Centre as one way of creating opportunities for all volunteer enthusiasts.
