Hello All, we are looking for optimistic, positive people living in Clongriffin who are interested in unleashing the hidden potential of the area to the benefit of all its residents!

Firstly who are we? Design Twentyfirst Century is a not for profit, charitable organization dedicated to the belief that Ireland can be a prosperous, innovative and happier country if we reawaken and tap the spirit of creativity and imagination that runs deep in our people and our history. Designing Dublin: Learning to Learn is a pilot project that Design Twentyfirst Century is undertaking, and as the project tag line indicates it is a learning project that utilizes design tools to inspire entrepreneurship and solution-based learning. (Please visit our website for more information about Design Twentyfirst Century and the Designing Dublin project - www.design21c.com.)

For our pilot we are tasked with ‘Finding the hidden potential of place’ in the new Clongriffin development in the North Fringe area of Dublin. We have already met various stakeholders in the area – schools, businesses, local community liaison officers, residents etc, and it was wonderful to meet with so many fantastic, positive people, however we would love to meet with more!

Next week, an exciting group of students from Aarhus in Denmark called the KaosPilots are coming to help us discover ways of unleashing the hidden potential of Clongriffin. Briefly, the KaosPilots are a learning entity, whose purpose is to create positive societal change through professional and personal growth. (You can find out more about them via their website www.kaospilot.dk.) They are joining us to help generate conversations between residents of the North Fringe area, and by initiating conversations help us to understand how we can assist in building a community of positivity in the area. They will help us develop a series of workshops and processes to enable these conversations to happen. This series of events will be happening in Clongriffin next week and we would love if you would join us.

These conversations and workshops will be centered around the following 9 areas –

1. Clongriffin was? Clongriffin is? Clongriffin will be?
3. How do we increase the vibrancy of experiences and encounters?
4. How do we open-up and connect Clongriffin?
6. How do we reinvent spaces into places?
7. How do we enable expression, talents, experiences, activities, beauty, love and joy?
8. How can we facilitate cross-cultural exchanges?
9. How can Clongriffin invent and utilise new economic opportunities?
10. How do we turn the passion that's in dispute into passion for the future?
11. How do we help people understand the potential of the surrounding environment?

Some sessions will be open and happening in the park, street, boulevard, etc. i.e. questions 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, feel free to join in!
Others will be location specific (as the ones listed below). Such as 1, 4, 9, 10 and 11 (mentioned below).
