I have arranged a Public Meeting on the emerging route for Luas line F to Lucan and, the Rail Procurement Agency will be in attendance and represented by:

Mr Paolo Carbone, Project Manager for Luas Line F
Mr David King, Transport Planning Manager
Myself, Claire Toolis, PR Executive

This meeting is open to all members of the public.

The emerging preferred corridor runs from Newcastle Road (close to the Athletic track) in Lucan to Dame Street. Proposed stops in Lucan include Griffeen Valley Park, Esker Meadows, Castle Road, Droim Na Coille, Ballyowen Park, Liffey Valley, before linking up with the Luas Red Line at Blackhorse Stop and sharing the Red Line as far as Fatima Stop, then along a new route via Meath Street and Christchurch, to terminate close to Trinity College.

While I welcome this move, a working Luas service for Lucan is a long way off given our current finances.

In the mean time we must continue to press for a better and more frequent bus service for Lucan.

Please come along on the evening where you will have an opportunity to ask questions following the RPA’s presentation.
