Granny Flat My Backside

Just reading about this in the Blanch Gazette (The free newspaper available in Dunnes).
There is a new planning application for the retention of a "Granny Flat" at 16 Beechfield Lawns (Party Central).
The applicant, Attracta McCormack, tried for the same retention last November, but this was shot down because of a problem with the planning notice.

The house has a self contained shed out the back (which is what the planning application relates to).

Both the house, and the shed are rented to a group of young males

I was very annoyed to read the following in the original planning documentation:
"Attracta McCormack resides at this residence, and the granny flat is for her mother who is an old age pensioner"

This is quite simply a downright lie.

The new application hasn't appeared on the Fingal website yet, but I'm sure it'll contain something similar.

Here's the link to the November application.

And here's the document about the Attracta McCormack living in the house (Page 8 of the PDF document)

Any opinions ?

Check out page 9 of the planning application.

It says Eamon Mulleady gives permission for Attracta McCorrick to apply for planning retention.
This implies that Eamon Mulleady is the owner of the property - right !

Now Look at this:

http://planning.fingalcoco.ie/swiftlg/apas/run/WPHAPPDETAIL.DisplayUrl?theApnID=F07B/0772

Yes my friends - Its Eamon Mulleady again - looking for, you've guessed it, planning permission for the retention of a granny flat at 35 Beechfield Way (which is also rented)

Also - look at the architect (Same Guy - Vincent Brady on both applications)

What I'd like to know is how many other Grannies do these people have !!!

Also - Check it out in Meath -

Attracta McCorrmack is also looking to build 4 houses in Ballynare Crossroads, Kilcloon, Co Meath,

Look at the Landowner (click the landowner button) - Its Eamon Mulleady, and he lives at 16 Beechfield Lawns.
But I thought thats where Attracta lives with her mother!
(also same architect)

And yet another one - This time in
Brownstown, Kilcloon, Co Meath

http://www.meath.ie/ePlan40/FileRefDetails.aspx?file_number=DA802424&LASiteID=0

Again, Its Attracta, Eamon, and Vincent Brady (architect)!

Anyway, It looks like this guy Eamon Mulleady owns 2 properties in Beechfield, both rented, both with self contained sheds, both sheds rented out, and is pretending on both occassions to be using these sheds as "Granny Flats" for "Elderly Relatives".

Unbelievable !

Perhaps one of the organisations above would be interested in the story. I have seen similar stories in community voice. At the end of the day it would be a good story in the current economic climate since most average citizens (and I dont think I am exaggerating here) see people like this as the cornerstone in the foundations of the problems this country is now facing. Perhaps a bailout is order if things dont work out for them:rolleyes:

Another example

Regardless you have found out alot of information there and I congratulate you on doing so. If this info can be used to benefit our community that would be even better.

I know you mentioned you were going to object. Did you decide to go to any of the local papers on this?

I don't know if this would affect the impartiality of the application.
If it was printed, and Fingal turned down the appliction, Could the applicant take a case against Fingal or the paper based on the printed story?
