Seasonal Greetings

The committee would like to take this opportunity to wish all residents of the estate a Happy and Peaceful Christmas.

Meetings 2008

Residents Association Meets on the First Thursday of every month in Belgooly Community Hall at 7.30 and all are welcome.

Committee Update

Following the last residents meeting, the committee has held several meetings with some of the local public representatives, Christy O Sullivan TD and Senator Denis O Donavan. The issues raised included, traffic calming, water quality, completion of works within the estate in accordance with planning and maintenance of the estate once the local authority takes over ownership.
The Committee has also had these issues raised at the Bandon Area roads committee by Cllr Alan Coleman and Cllr Veronica Neville. Members of the committee have been in contact with the local authority, highlighting the residents concerns on the outstanding issues. The committee are also planning to meet the developer on site to discuss the outstanding issues and it is hoped that this meeting will take place shortly.

Membership Fee

The Committee has sent a membership form to each house hold in the estate. The Fee is €20 and can be paid directly to any committee member who will be calling shortly to collect the fee. The money will be used to fund the association and to pay for any expenses incurred.ie:pay for meetings in Hall, Insurance for the Assoc.,Admin Cost, etc.So please join up and help all of us have a better say in our estate.

Christmas Drink

Residents are invited to Coleman’s Bar in the Village on Friday 28th @ 8.30pm. This is a provisional date, but any change will be communicated.

Recent tidy up

Many thanks to all who gave an hour and even greater thanks to those who did 2 hours during our recent clean up. Thanks to the chainsaw operator, the rake users, the shovel scrapers, the brush sweepers and the grass cutters, but especially the kids who were a great help. The next clean up will take place on the 15th December at 11am. Residents to meet near the developers Porta Cabin in the Estate. For 2008, tidy ups will take place on the first Saturday of each month at 11am, weather permitting and will be on the following Saturday(s) if n

Speeding / Parking

The committee would appeal to motorists to reduce their speed, when driving through the estate. The committee would also appeal to residents, when parking on footpaths, to allow sufficient space for pedestrians to pass.

Carrighdoun Newspaper

The Carrigdhoun Newspaper has a weekly column on ‘What’s on in Kinsale, Belgooly and Riverstick’. The column is compiled by J.J Hurley, who is also Secretary of the Meadows Residents Association.

Email List

The residents association have a comprehensive email list for regular updates, etc. If you would like to be included in these please email jjhurley123@gmail.com with your details.

Mile stones

Congratulations to Brian and Catherine Dillion on the Birth of their son, Eoin.

Congratulations to Sean and Mylene Cunningham on the christening of their son Rory recently.
