Must agree with beedee, edel2008 sounds - yet again - very familar.

Edel, you would'nt be core-6's (alias core6-7, alias allirish) sister by any chance?

Yes we all were a bit noisy as kids but living in an apartment block with so many people in a small area means people (including kids) have to be respectful of other people. Saying that kids will be kids will just not cut it in such an enclosed space. If it was a housing estate it would of course be different.

Listen ill make it very clear here, those of who who have a problem with noisy kids will just have to put up with it as that is everyday life and nothing can be done about it and nothing will be done i promise!

To be honest, I think this is all going a little overboard. Kids will play, they will make noise and they will leave a mess. It's important that they be adequately supervised by parents/responsible adults, security is generally good but there's lots of random people passing and any one of them could pose a threat.
Parents need to take responsibility to make sure their kids are not running around the carpark and similarly many drivers need to slow down in the carpark, but having a reckless driver to blame is scant consolation if your child has been hurt, injured or worse.

Listen the kids are not like animals out there lets be honest..so know need to get so worked up over it.If the kids are having a good time and playing well close your door and then you wont hear them no big deal. There is no law saying kids cannot play in the yard so lets just forget it and get on with something else because im sure most people enjoy a bit of life on the garden area instead of it looking so boring!

I completly agree with you.To be honest ive never seen kids running around the car park but i agree they shoudnt be but i did see a yorksire terrier with its owner running around off the lead .I think it will take somebody to be knocked down and then people will slow down...terrible to say but its the truth.

I'm not saying that they can't play, I'm saying that they can do so without making a racket so that it doesn't disturb the other residents.

It might be a bit inappropriate to put this here, but just wanted to add a comment to this - as I came in last night I was accosted by about 5 kids all with tins + boxes in their hands begging for money! One followed me into the apt block and was about to follow me up to my door until she was told to go home! Have to say, when I was a child, my parents would have been mortified if they thought I was hassling neighbours and passers-by for money so thought I'd just bring it to their parents attention. Or..... maybe they like the thought of their kids asking strangers for a bit of cash given the recession we're all going through at the minute.... might give it a go myself! But just couldn't get over how cheeky they were!

Maybe they've had a Homer Simpson moment and realised that money can be exchanged for goods and services. When they asked people for coca-cola, people just said they didn't have any. They've figured that by asking for money they may be able to buy coca-cola with that money.

To quote the legally binding contract (Section 3):

3.37. Not to permit children to play in or obstruct the use of the entrance halls, staircases, lifts and landings in the Common Areas, or the podium in the Reserved Property.

EDIT: The podium by the way, is the elevated platform on which all 3 apartment buildings sit.

If there are kids begging then their tramp parents should be reported to social services

guys, seriously they are only kids, and they are on their school holidays and its during the daytime ,so leave them be,its the footballs wacked against the windows that i am worried about (as we are ground floor+our bedroon window is used as a football goal) and the disticnt lack of parents/adult supervision of the kids all day long is actually more of a concern than anything else

Has anyone else noticed that there's a group of about 5 boys going through the car park on bikes? nearly got run over walking through the car park gate this evening. apart from the obvious concern that they could come head on with a car instead of a pedestrian and do themselves harm, i'm a little concerned as to whether or not they're resident here. Does anyone know if they are or not?
