Hi Guys, I am new to this site. I came to know that you get kitchen appliances free when you sign the contract in 21 days. Can we have chrome colour appliances in the kitchen. I want to fix my washing machine soemwhere else, can we ask the foreman to fix that at the desired location or we need to do that ourselves after we move in. Reply at your convinience.

When you sign your contracts, Gunne should get in touch with you soon afterwards and ask you to choose your tile and paint colours - on the form where you select this you will be asked to confirm if you want white or "silver" appliances in the kitchen ("silver" being the colour of the stuff in the showhouses).

I don't think that they will fix the washing machine anywhere else, but you can always ask...

hi, i doubt if you could get the builders to officially change anything. we asked if we could have a few simple things changed ie mitre joints instead of joining strips in the kitchen and a proper shower instead of an extended bath tap. and no way. when you are paying this much for somewhere to live, there should be an option to pay for a slightly higher spec. I don't expect anything for free. we also asked if you could reduce the size of the downstairs cloakroon (as it is bigger than alot of box bedrooms) in order to have a slightly bigger kitchen, but we were told the architects thought they had a great design and wouldn't change. So instead we will have to move things ourselves, which is always alot more difficult after the event. I suppose I shouldn't complain, we bought it anyway as it seemed more hassle free (hopefully) than dealing wth estate agents.
To get back to the original point, if you can get some of the builders/tradespeople to do any additional work in their spare time let us know.
