Castlegate Square

Hello all,

I am new to this site and was just wondering if anyone has heard when Castlegate square will be ready. We signed contracts in March 06 and were told around 18 months for completion, however we went there a couple of weeks ago and the kitchen seem to be in so things look like they are moving..anyone with any concrete information?? Gunne have not returned any of our calls despite leaving a few messages

Hi, Bought J3 back early last year - latest I've heard is that they are starting snagging in April - originally I've been told Nov 06 then March 07 & now summer. Like you it all looks complete with kitchen fitted, painting & tiling complete & even backyard cleaned up - only waiting on appliances but sure that shouldn't be a big job. Have you tried calling Jill in Castlethorn?

Yes I did speak to someone in Castlethorn, not sure who and she did say snagging in April and completion end of May..it's just we've heard so many different things, but at least Castlethorn are saying the same thing to us. We bought a J1 and were able to have a look through the windows and it looks ready to me bar the appliances. Are you facing Newcastle rd?

Hi Sporting babe & nextdoor,

Am i right thinking you are refering to the row with the J1 show house?
We decided not to go with a property on that row purely because of the long wait for them to become available.
Have you asked Castlethorn what the delay in releasing them for snagging is?
Most of the original Adamstown Castle show house types were on display for Adamstown square but theJ1 on your road was not. Perhaps this is because they are plannng to open them soon enough for you guys.

Hi, yes we are on the row of the J1 show house. I have been told in the past the reason for the delay is because it was in the show house area, however there are none open near us so we are hoping things should be moving soon!!! I noticed there wasn't a J1 open so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, it seems like ages since we signed!

Just contacted Jill in Castlethorn and she's saying we'll be snagging those properties from End March early April...hopefully that means this year :wink:
