Hi Maria, welcome to the forum!

I think that all the contracts stated 30 months as standard, this is an outside duration, so that if things go very wrong and the house isn't finished by then you have an opportunity to pull out.

Maybe one of the people who is moving into their place in August/September can confirm if their contract also stated 30 months?

Hi all, just discovered this website today. My boyfriend and I have bought a 3 bed duplex in the Paddocks Square. I got a letter from Gina three weeks ago telling me to call Maplewood and make an appointment for the snagging for Sat the 28th April. When I called Maplewood said they made a mistake and it wouldn't be ready until the end of May. Has this happened to anyone else? If so what were you told? Can I also ask what the halting site rumour is about. I nearly fell off the chair when I saw a message about that. Do any of you know about it or can you tell me how far will it be from us?

Thanks, Fin

Hi Fin,

There's a great thread in the General Discussion / Paddocks where people who have bought in the paddocks are discussing snagging issues.

Paddocks Thread (http://www.neighbours.ie/adamstown/showthread.php?t=227)

As far as i know, Maplewood have been a bit all over the place with snagging dates.. But if you ask the guys in the Paddocks thread, they should be able to help you with your snagging queries.

Good luck.

Hi Ciaran
another area you might be able to look at is a kids section on my neighbours. I have one child and it can be quite hard to make freinds of your own age in a new estate. if the kids had an area they could meet online. I don't know if you would look at this but obviously there would be security issues.
